Welcome to my page, I have been here a week or so now and I’m still playing about with the decor, so please do excuse me if things shift in appearance a little over the next couple of weeks – I am a terrible fiddler, and I do tend to procrastinate, especially if I should be writing…
I thought it was time I introduced myself – to followers known and brand new. My name is Naomi and I have been described as…
‘A genetic mix of a Du Maurier heroine and Tank Girl. With a touch of Ray Mears thrown in…’
I rather liked that – who wouldn’t?!
But, in reality, I am a curious soul, a winter’s baby and an introverted and strange little being – I like to chat, I love to bake and I adore making other people smile. I have written for years – some of it has been good, some has been utterly appalling and some has given me a swelling sense of pride when I’ve read it back years later – usually giving me a timely reminder to sit my backside down and let some of my jumbled thoughts pour forth onto the page.
I have had some battles with my mental health – and if we are being honest, who hasn’t? Mental health is something that affects us all, whether directly or indirectly. I write about things that have helped me and things that I have learnt and picked up along this journey. I am not a medical professional, and I don’t profess to be, so please take what I write as friendly advice and know that it comes from a place of love and encouragement – a kind of little owl that sits on your shoulder and tells you that you are awesome, and you can do this, because owls don’t lie!
Anyway -I shall probably update this page a little like a diary entry, so be sure to check back every now and then 🙂 But in the meantime, stick the kettle on, have a gander at my writings, send me a message and check out some of my social network pages if you like. I am very pleased that you have decided to join me on this journey through this magical thing that we call life ❤
